FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Is there an eBook version available?
Yes! You can even buy both the print book and eBook as a bundled value pack. The eBook version is available as a downloadable PDF. We recommend reading it on a tablet or computer.

How big is the print book?
The print book is 8.5" x 11" and nearly an inch thick. It weights 2.2lbs. It is a hefty book filled full of engine building knowledge.

How much is shipping going to cost?
For one book:
Anywhere in the United States: $8
Canada: $34
United Kingdom: $44
Europe: $46
Australia: $43
New Zealand: $42
South Africa: $43
Latvia: $45

For the bundle of two books:
Anywhere in the United States: $11
Canada: $63
United Kingdom: $88
Europe: $88
Australia: $88
New Zealand: $88
South Africa: $94
Latvia: $91
Why does shipping cost so much?
It is a huge book! The book itself weighs 2.3lbs plus another 0.3lbs for the box and packing materials and we are nearly at 3lbs.

To be completely honest, this is the most affordable shipping available via USPS for international orders if you want your book to arrive in a timely manner. Having sold over 1000 books to overseas customers, it's worth the extra dollar to ensure your book will actually arrive.

How will my book arrive?
Your book will arrive shrink wrapped in a 12" x 9" x 4 3/4" box. We have experimented with padded envelopes and other options and the test shipments have been damaged using these methods.  So far, a box has been the only way to ensure you book does not arrive rolled up into a mailbox that is too small, or with damaged edges.

I'd like to place a bulk order (5+ books), can I get a discount on shipping?

MEET THE AUTHOR

Meet Paul Olesen, the author of The Two Stroke Dirt Bike Engine Building Handbook
Paul Olesen is Wisconsin native who has always had motorcycles on his mind. From tearing apart his first bike at the age of 18, his curiosity around engine design has guided his entire career.

During his years in the UK attending the University of Wales, Paul not only received his degree in motorcycle engineering, but he also designed and built his own racing motorcycle from the ground up. He spent his summers stateside, where he interned as a design engineer for S&S Cycle. While there, he built the fairing for their Bonneville racing bike and worked on the 2012 racing team.

It was through this education and exploration that Paul honed his engineering knowledge, which launched him head first after graduation into a powertrain position at Erik Buell Racing. After spending just over a year there, Paul realized his time was better spent educating the everyday rider through DIY Moto Fix. In doing so, he is bent on keeping the world of motor sports alive and well.
