This week I want to share with you a great resource in the world of DIY motorcycle repair by introducing you to my friend Matt Bochnak’s website: How To Motorcycle Repair. Matt introduced himself to me when I was just starting DIY Moto Fix last fall. Unbeknownst to me at the time, Matt had already created a site aimed at helping DIY motorcycle enthusiasts in 2012. With a few years of experience under his belt, Matt knew a lot about the DIY crowd and was extremely generous in giving me pointers as I put my site together. We’ve been in touch ever since and have been continuously bouncing ideas and tips back and forth to each other.
Matt is a fellow engineer and a motorhead just like me. We’ve got a passion for making machines run as good as they can and then sharing that information with others. What you’ll find at HTMR is a wide array of content that includes how-to videos, tool reviews, part reviews, and much more. Matt likes to dabble in just about everything so unlike here, where I’ve kept the info mostly dirt bike, at HTMR you’ll find info on motorcycles, dirt bikes, pit bikes, and even DIY workshop projects. In addition, Matt has had a chance to tackle some projects I haven’t had time to spend on, such as Keihin FCR carburettor cleaning and four-stroke carburettor tuning! If you’ve been struggling with your FCR carburetor, both of these videos are excellent tools which can help get your engine running perfectly.
Content at HTMR is a combination of videos and blog posts, so whether you’re a visual learner or prefer reading, you’re covered. Matt has over 100 Youtube videos, most of which are embedded into blog posts which discuss the given topic. Matt’s style is straightforward and to the point and his videos, much like ours, take the time to bring you through the entire DIY process.
